Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I check in?

    Check-in instructions are sent via email 10 days before arrival and via text 2 days before arrival. You will be provided directions and code access to check in directly at the property. If you have not received your check-in instructions in that timeframe, please check that you have signed your rental agreement and your reservation is paid in full. All of our properties offer contactless check-in.

  • What time is check-in?

    Check-in is at 4PM. If you'd like an early check-in please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please be aware early check-in is not always possible. Early check-in will be confirmed on the day of your arrival once the rental has been cleaned and inspected.

  • What time is check-out?

    Check out is at 10AM. If you'd like a late check-out please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. A late check out may be requested but we will not be able to confirm until 24 hours prior to your departure.

  • What amenities come with my rental?

    Each property is provided with a drip style coffee maker, bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryer, fan(s), and initial supplies of bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent. Guests are responsible for providing further supplies if needed. All properties have washer and dryers available on site or in the building. Please note that air conditioning is not common in the mountains and none of our properties have air conditioning. Fans are available in all properties

  • Can I bring pets?

    You can only bring pets to pet-friendly properties with prior approval. If evidence of pets are found at a no-pet property you will be charged for a deep clean, which is three times the cost of the normal cleaning fee.

  • Do I need 4 wheel drive or snow tires?

    During the winter, you will likely encounter snowy and icy roads. For your safety, 4 wheel drive, all wheel drive, or snow tires are recommended during the winter months.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Any reservation cancelled 60 or more days before arrival will be fully refunded minus a 5% booking fee. Any reservation cancelled within 30 to 60 days of the reservation is 50% refundable. Any reservation cancelled within 30 days of the reservation is non-refundable. We understand emergencies happen; in the event a last minute cancellation is needed, we will try to get your dates re-booked. If your reservation is re-booked, you will be issued a refund. We offer travel insurance and do recommend purchasing travel insurance in case of emergencies.

  • Can I send mail to my vacation rental?

    The majority of homes in Summit County do not receive USPS mail. Fedex and UPS typically do deliver to physical addresses in our area. We do not recommend sending any mail or packages to your vacation rental. In the event you must send something to your vacation rental, please know how it will be transported (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and contact us prior so we may give you the appropriate address to send the item.

  • Should I purchase Travel Insurance?

    If you are traveling from out of state, then travel insurance is highly recommended. As opposed to other vacation destinations, traveling to the mountains poses extra risks. A few examples include canceled or delayed flights, impassable road conditions, no snow, and skiing injuries. Though we truly sympathize with our guests when something unfortunate happens, there are not very many circumstances in which we can provide refunds or reschedule your trip. It is precisely for this reason that you should carefully consider purchasing travel insurance, especially if you’re traveling from out of state. Our company will offer travel insurance to you when you make your reservation and you may choose to accept or decline.

  • Is there Internet and Cable?

    All of our vacation rentals have wireless internet. These services are provided at no extra charge and as a courtesy to you. Because we are in the mountains, please be aware that internet can be sporadic, and often slow at the busiest times of the year (ski and summer season). Cable TV and/or Roku / Smart TV's are at each property.

  • Can I check in early?

    If you'd like an early check-in please contact us 72 hours or less prior to your check in date. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please be aware early check-in is not always possible. Early check-in will be confirmed on the day of your arrival once the rental has been cleaned and inspected. We are unable to confirm early arrivals earlier than 3 days before your arrival date, so please contact us after that time to request an early check in.

  • How can I prepare for high altitude?

    All of our properties are located at 8,500 ft above sea level or higher elevation. We recommend drinking extra amounts of water before and during your stay, wearing SPF 25 or higher sunscreen and chapstick when outdoors, and limiting alcohol as high altitude can effect your reaction to alcohol. To minimize side effects from high altitude, we do offer convenient oxygen delivery to your rental property. Contact us to arrange this service.

  • What is required to make a reservation?

    There is a 50% deposit required to make a reservation. The full payment is due 60 days prior to check in. We accept all credit cards or bank draft.

  • Is there air conditioning?

    Due to our cool year round temperatures, air conditioning is not typically found in mountain homes and none of our properties have AC. Fans are provided and opening a window works nicely to cool things down if needed. Our average summer time high temp is 72 degrees, with nighttime temps typically in the 50's all summer long, so air conditioning is rarely needed.

  • Do you offer discounted lift tickets?

    We do not offer discount lift tickets. The best prices can typically be found when booking lift tickets ahead of time directly from the ski resort.
